Candle Bags are decorated and dedicated to loved ones lost to cancer. These then line the tract and light the way to Hope Hill. The candle bags glow throughout the night.
Hope is lit up as a symbol of hope for the future - a world where everybody lives longer, better lives free from the fear of cancer.
If you would like a candle bag to donate, click here to contact us. Alternatively, join us at one of our events to dedicate a candle bag.
The Candle of Hope Ceremony starts with the lighting the way to hope lap. We invite all relayers, their loved ones, and visitors to dress in fairly lights, bring their torches and join us in a lap as we walk towards Hope Hill.
As we approach Hope Hill, candle bags line the track and HOPE is marked on the hill.
A short emotional ceremony allows us to remember loved ones lost to cancer.
The ceremony ends with one final lap of Hope, before the evening wind down starts.
