One of the most poignant parts of Relay, is the Candle of Hope Ceremony. This is when the whole Relay stops for 10 minutes so we can all remember those who we have lost to cancer, and also those still fighting.
During the ceremony, HOPE is spelt out using candle bags lit with tealights. There is silence whilst a poem is read out, a song played, usually sung live and a minute silence is held as relay members those lost to cancer.
Candle bags are decorated and dedicated to remember loved ones lost to cancer. Candle bags are already avaliable so contact for more info, a donation per candle bag is often given so that we can raise more money for Relay.
