THE EVENT TEAM

JOIN THE TEAM BEHIND RELAY!

Volunteer. Organise. Fight Back Against Cancer.

Every year, our volunteers bring Yate Relay For Life to life, creating an unforgettable event that raises vital funds for Cancer Research UK. Without them we would not be able to Relay

WHY VOLUNTEER?

Make a Difference

Help raise funds for life-saving cancer research by organising Yate Relay For Life

Meet Amazing People

Join a passionate and experienced team united by a common goal, who all bring different skills and experience.

Learn New Skills

Gain experience in events, fundraising, marketing and community engagement.

Have Fun

From decorating site and organising activities to celebrating survivors and cheering on participants, Relay is full of laughter, friendship and memorable moments.

WHAT'S THE COMMITMENT?

Volunteering with Yate Relay is flexible and designed to fit around your existing commitments. Most Event Team members give just a few hours each month, with a little extra involvement as Relay weekend approaches. We have meetings every 4-6 weeks which last only a couple of hours.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new skills, meet like-minded people, gain valuable experience, and play a vital role in helping raise funds for life-saving cancer research.

No previous experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

FIND YOUR PLACE ON THE TEAM!

Whether you’re looking to take on a specific role or simply lend a helping hand, there’s a place for you on our Event Team. Many of our existing team members would welcome extra support, and we also have a range of general volunteer opportunities available.
